Freshman/JV Uniforms and Pictures

Freshman need to turn in their uniforms on Sunday, May 30th between 1 and 1:30pm. Kara will also have pictures available for those players who have not gotten them yet.

JV players need to turn their uniforms in TONIGHT at the Varsity game if they were not turned in on Saturday when they were supposed to be turned in.

Varsity girls need to be at the field at 4:30pm today wearing blue with pants.

Weekend Schedule

Reminder for Friday hitting practice:

Seniors & Juniors: 3:30-4pm
Freshmen: 4-4:30pm
Middle school: 4:30-5pm

Saturday:

Varsity players need to be at Death Valley at 10am. We are wearing blue with pants.

Sunday:

Varsity practice will start at 1:30. Practice will be about 2 hours long, but has the potential to run longer since we'll be prepping for postseason play.

Districts: May 23rd - 25th

We will be hosting the district tournament this year AT Highlands. In the past, the tournament has been held at NKU. Due to the rain this year, we do not want to share NKU's field with another district and try to reschedule make up games around another district's tournament. We're going to give it a shot and hope that it's easier to do it at our place than the regional tournament was at NKU several years ago.

That being said, we'll need some volunteers next week to help out with various activities at the school. We'll need two people to work the concession stand at each game. We'll also need an adult committed to doing the scoreboard for each game. We need to make sure that the ball/strike/out count is accurate for every pitch during the district tournament. We are also looking for someone to read the line-ups over the PA system & work the music. Please let me know ASAP if you or anyone you know would be interested in doing any of these jobs.

The game times are as follows:

• May 23rd: Highlands vs. Bellevue - 5:30pm


• May 24th: Newport vs. Dayton - 4:30pm


• May 24th: Highlands/Bellevue vs. NCC - 6:30pm


• May 25th: Newport/Dayton vs. Highlands/Bellevue/NCC - 5:30pm

We'll need all volunteers to be at the field AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to game time to get set up and make sure everything is working properly. This is a time we really need everyone to step up and help out so please email Jess at jessica.donelan@yahoo.com and let us know if you are available/willing to do something.

Wednesday/Thursday

No practice Wednesday.

Thursday we will leave for Simon Kenton at 4pm. We will wear blue with pants. There is NO JV game on Thursday.

We have scheduled a Varsity round robin on Saturday. It will be the same format as last week:

Holy Cross vs. Highlands - 11am
Holy Cross vs. South Oldham - 1pm
Highlands vs. South Oldham - 3pm

We'll need parents to work the concession stand again. Also - JV only players and freshman players should come to school during the tournament on Saturday to turn uniforms in.

Tuesday - SENIOR NIGHT!

All JV/V girls need to be at the field tonight at 4pm. Seniors report to the field at 4:45pm. We are wearing blue with pants. Freshman team needs to be at the field by 5:30pm for the game.

We will have an update on the weather/game status by 3pm.

Monday vs. Holmes

Varsity girls need to report to Death Valley by 3:45pm. We are wearing blue with pants. The game will be starting as close to 5:15pm as possible due to Senior Awards Night at the high school. JV players need to be at the field by 6pm.

The Freshman game on Tuesday has been cancelled. We will be doing Senior Night on Tuesday AFTER the Varsity game vs. Notre Dame.

Friday's game vs. Bracken County has been CANCELLED due to the chorus concert.

JV Tournament Sunday

JV game times are 2:30 and 4pm Sunday. JV players need to be at Dixie at 1:30pm wearing blue with pants.

Thursday & Friday

No Varsity or JV practice or games on Thursday.

Non-seniors need to be at the field by 4pm on Friday (including JV players). Seniors need to be at the field at 4:45pm. Uniform is blue with pants.

Senior night will be directly following the Varsity game.

JV Game Today

JV will leave school at 4:15pm today in the school vans. The JV game starts at 5:30pm followed by Varsity. We are wearing blue jerseys with shorts and white socks.

Saturday - Concession - Important!

We REALLY need parents to volunteer to work the concession on Saturday during our round robin. It would be best if we can just get one or two parents to work each game - that way everyone just has an hour and a half shift. Please e-mail me with a shift you'd be willing to work and we can get a schedule set up. Thanks!

The JV tournament schedule has been updated. Please review it for changes.

There will be NO GAME vs. Newport tonight - just a Varsity game vs. Scott at 5:30pm.

We will play Newport next week on May 18th at 5:30pm V/JV at Newport Vets.

Week of Monday 5/9

There are several changes for this week, so please read ALL of this information.

Monday:

There will be NO JV game at Bellevue. I am hoping to play a Varsity double header but have not heard back from their coach. THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE VARSITY GAME MONDAY. We will wear blue with pants. We'll leave in a school van at 4:15pm. **Bellevue's field is located by their track and football field.**

All JV players that do not regularly dress Varsity need to report to Death Valley on Monday at 3:45pm. The freshman game at home vs. NCC will be a Freshman/JV game rather than just freshman. We have changed this since the JV Bellevue game was cancelled.

Tuesday:

There will be NO JV game on Tuesday. Varsity will play a double header vs. Scott, followed by a game against Newport. Both of these games are at home.

Wednesday/Thursday:

We are not allowed to play Monday-Thursday, so if one of these games does not get rained out, we will cancel Thursday's game.

Friday:

Senior night after the Varsity game.

Saturday:

JV Tournament at Dixie.
Varsity Round Robin at home. More information about both tournaments posted on the left side of the page.

Friday 5/6

V/JV plays Brossart on Friday night starting at 5:30. Girls can go to the gym after school for hitting practice before the vans leave at 4:15. We are wearing blue with pants.

V/JV will have a short hitting practice right after school today in the small gym.

On Thursday we will be playing Simon Kenton at home at 5:30pm. Varsity will play first followed by JV. Girls need to be at the field ready to go by 4:30pm. We will wear blue with pants.

Freshman Game Cancelled Today

Game is cancelled due to rain.

There will be no V/JV practice today. If no V/JV game tomorrow we will practice 4:30-6pm.

Freshman practice 5-6pm today.

***V/JV is most likely playing Boone Co. on Wednesday at home (Newport cancelled due to All A Classic Tournament), and Bracken Co. at home on Thursday. Brossart was rescheduled several weeks ago for Friday. More info to come as soon as details are set in stone.

May 2nd, 3rd & 7th

We've had several changes to our schedule in the last few days. Scott had to cancel on us for Monday because of conference make up games, and Mount Notre Dame cancelled on us for Tuseday for the same reason. I am now trying to pick up a game on Tuesday or Thursday, and will post information as soon as I have it available.

***NO PRACTICE MONDAY. ALL JV AND VARSITY PLAYERS WHO ARE FRESHMAN OR YOUNGER NEED TO ATTEND THE FRESHMAN GAME ON MONDAY. WEAR WHITE WITH SHORTS. THE TEAM WILL LEAVE SCHOOL AT 4PM FOR DIXIE.***

Saturday May 7th, we will be hosting Dixie and Madison Central at our field for a small round robin. The schedule is as follows:

Highlands vs. Dixie - 10am
Dixie vs. Madison Central - 12pm
Highlands vs. Madison Central - 2pm

We'll need parents to work the concession stand. We also MAY need parents to take money for entrance at the top of the driveway (TBD). I'll have more information later this week. Please let me know if anyone has any questions.
