We will be hosting the district tournament this year AT Highlands. In the past, the tournament has been held at NKU. Due to the rain this year, we do not want to share NKU's field with another district and try to reschedule make up games around another district's tournament. We're going to give it a shot and hope that it's easier to do it at our place than the regional tournament was at NKU several years ago.
That being said, we'll need some volunteers next week to help out with various activities at the school. We'll need two people to work the concession stand at each game. We'll also need an adult committed to doing the scoreboard for each game. We need to make sure that the ball/strike/out count is accurate for every pitch during the district tournament. We are also looking for someone to read the line-ups over the PA system & work the music. Please let me know ASAP if you or anyone you know would be interested in doing any of these jobs.
The game times are as follows:
- May 23rd: Highlands vs. Bellevue - 5:30pm
- May 24th: Newport vs. Dayton - 4:30pm
- May 24th: Highlands/Bellevue vs. NCC - 6:30pm
- May 25th: Newport/Dayton vs. Highlands/Bellevue/NCC - 5:30pm
We'll need all volunteers to be at the field AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to game time to get set up and make sure everything is working properly. This is a time we really need everyone to step up and help out so please email Jess at jessica.donelan@yahoo.com and let us know if you are available/willing to do something.
